Can I still get a scan during Covid?

Updated: Oct 12, 2023

While we are aware that some scanning clinics and services have been disrupted during the course of our national lockdowns, we want to reassure everyone that at Imaginatal we are still fully operating – but with revised Covid safety procedures and these will continue to change with time.

You are still able to come and get a scan, and you can attend with one other adult from your household and two children under the age of 12. Our primary focus is the wellbeing of baby and mum. We are working closely with NHS England, this means that we are carrying out additional cleaning of the clinic and have extra safety measures such as QR codes to be scanned in the clinic for track and trace. Upon arrival we take everyone’s temperature and ask them to sanitise their hands. All of our staff are wearing extra PPE and we are ensuring that there is extra space within the clinic while managing the number of people present at any one time to allow social distancing measures to be kept in place.

We understand being pregnant during in Covid may add extra stress and unease, and we want to do everything we can to ease that for you. If you at any point feel uncomfortable attending a scan, we can rearrange that appointment at any time, free of charge.

If you have any concerns or questions whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we will answer those for you.
